Trey joined Maner Costerisan in 1990 following his graduation from college. He currently serves as a principal in the firm’s audit department where his responsibilities include scheduling, recruiting and career counseling. Trey is also the head of Maner Costerisan’s construction niche and a member of the ERISA niche.
In addition to his internal roles, Trey is the lead service contact for a broad range of clients including construction, closely-held, service, manufacturing, nonprofit and ERISA organizations. He has an extensive background of accounting and auditing with a deep knowledge of corporate tax.
Since his career began, Trey has helped numerous clients overcome obstacles and address critical issues regarding their businesses. He assisted one company with the transition of their organization from one generation to the next. In another instance, Trey helped a company comply with banking and bonding requirements, and meet all regulatory deadlines. He has also shared his expertise with businesses outside of his clientele, presenting for the Central Michigan Chapter of ABC and publishing articles for The Greater Lansing Business Monthly magazine.
Trey decided to go into accounting after growing up around a family-owned business, which helped him gain experience and shape his perspective on a number of business related issues. His success today is a result of his overall enjoyment of the profession, including the people he works with and the clients he serves.
Raised in Virginia, Trey now resides in Grand Ledge, Michigan with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, camping, playing golf and collecting coins.
