Sarah joined Maner Costerisan in 2003. She currently serves as a senior manager in the firm’s audit department and also leads Maner Costerisan’s fraud and forensics practice. Sarah has particular specialization performing internal control risk assessments, fraud risk assessments and fraud examinations for organizations across various industries. Additionally, she regularly performs audits for both for profit and nonprofit organizations, including 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) entities, and school districts.

Sarah maintains a strong desire to help her clients augment their internal controls and fraud prevention systems, while minimizing their costs in the process. For example, she assisted a large nonprofit transit organization improve their internal controls system at minimal expense to the organization. Sarah has also performed examinations for nonprofit organizations to determine their extent of loss due to fraud.

Beyond her client responsibilities at Maner Costerisan, Sarah regularly shares her expertise with colleagues and peers by speaking on industry related topics. Specifically, she has presented on “Internal Controls that Prevent Fraud” for the MACPA Nonprofit Conference, “Fraud in Small Business” for the Delta Side Business Association and “Fraud in Today’s Environment” for the Institute of Managerial Accountants.

Sarah resides in Laingsburg, Michigan with her husband, Russ. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and cooking.
