“Client service is my top priority. After all, I wouldn’t work in public accounting if I didn’t enjoy helping clients reach their financial goals. I work hard to provide the highest quality service to my clients, which usually results in positive results and high client satisfaction.”

Steve joined Maner Costerisan in 1984. As a principal in the firm’s tax department, he specializes in providing tax planning and compliance services to small businesses and individuals, and assisting with their estates, trusts and gifts. Currently, Steve focuses his practice on individual taxation and assisting small businesses and individuals with estates and trusts.

Working in public accounting since his college graduation in 1977, Steve has gained an extraordinary amount of experience over the years and has assisted his clients with a wide range of technical tax and accounting issues. Specifically, he helped a small business owner transfer the ownership of his two companies to a key employee group. In addition, Steve has shared his industry expertise by serving as a guest speaker, most recently for the East Lansing Kiwanis Club regarding the “New Michigan Business Tax.”

Steve was inspired to pursue an accounting career due to his interest in puzzle solving and working with numbers. During college, he spent his summers working in Ford’s assembly plants, which gave him the motivation to complete his degree and work toward a professional career. Today, Steve attributes his professional success to his hard work and dedication to Maner Costerisan’s clients.

Steve was born in Detroit and grew up in Plymouth, Michigan. He currently resides in Mason with his wife, Patricia. Outside of the office, Steve is a music enthusiast and spends parts of his summers playing the drums in a band on Beaver Island.
